A cleaver-like sword with a long black handle with a thick metallic ring as pommel and a smoky grey blade, resembling more a very long machete instead of a sword, assigned to Kai Langley. It is a weapon for slashing and hacking not stabbing or thrusting, ideal to cut deep into flesh and snap bone of Ghoul-kind. The handle is usable for blocking and/or parrying, with the pommel being a functional offensive tool.

FUNCTIONALITY: As other bladed Quinque, the Reaver acts as normal sword would. The Quinque Steel blade is more durable and sharp than any conventional metal, able to cut through the resistant skin of Ghouls. And it does just that, althought it has some defensive capabilities, it is mainly an offensive weapon, with the broad blade designed to cut deep, ravaging tissue and shattering bone when encountered. The ring-like pommel is sturdy enough to be used as a blunt weapon at close range perfectly capable of traumatic injuries if aimed at a Ghoul's face. It excels at mid-range, while still being competent at close range but inadequate for long-range combat. Neither a pretty nor graceful weapon, The Reaver is a savage beast made for savage swings, movements filled with strenght and brutality instead of precision or grace, however, such moves could leave Kai vulnerable to counter-attacks.

ADVANTAGES: For every four points in the adaptability base stat their Kagune gains one additional point to distribute at the beginning of the thread.

DISADVANTAGES: With no particular strength or weakness, relying on their adaptability as their source of strength, no base stat may exceed the adaptability base stat.
